Our rates, in public
Labor is $165/hour. Everything below is flat-rate — the price is the price, whether the job takes us two hours or four. If your car needs something not on this list, we'll quote it before we start.

“From” means the cheapest version of that job on the easiest car we see. A four-cylinder Golf and a twin-turbo Panamera are not the same brake job. We quote the real number before we start, and it doesn't move afterward.
Maintenance plans
Three ways to pay us.
Two of them are plans and one of them is nothing. Read the last FAQ below before you pick one.
| Feature | Pay as you go $0 / year No plan. Flat-rate pricing on every visit. | Most popular Service Plan $390 / year For a car you drive every day. | Full Care $790 / year For a car you'd rather not think about. |

The money questions
Frequently asked.
Why publish prices at all?
Because the alternative is you calling four shops, getting four numbers you can't compare, and picking one on a feeling. We'd rather you arrive already knowing what a water pump costs here.
It also keeps us honest. A published price is hard to quietly raise on a customer who seems flustered.
What does “from” mean?
The cheapest version of that job on the easiest car we see. Front pads and rotors “from $620” is a four-cylinder Golf. The same job on a Cayenne with big brakes is roughly double, because the parts are roughly double.
We quote your car's real number before we start, and that number doesn't move afterward.
Do you price-match the dealer?
We're almost always under them, so it rarely comes up. When a dealer runs a genuine promotion below our rate — it happens on brake fluid and oil services — take it. We'll tell you to.
What if the job turns out to be bigger than the estimate?
We stop and call you. Nothing gets added to an invoice you haven't seen. If we misjudged the job — as opposed to finding a second, real problem — that's on us and we eat it.
It happens a few times a year. We'd rather absorb it than argue about it at pickup.
Do I pay for the diagnostic if I decline the work?
Yes — $145. You're paying for two hours of a technician's time and a factory software license, and you walk out with a real answer you can take anywhere, including to a cheaper shop.
If you have us do the work, it comes off the bill entirely.
Is the plan worth it for a car I only drive 4,000 miles a year?
Probably not. Here's the math: at 4,000 miles you need one oil service a year, not two. Call it $229, plus brake fluid every other year at $185 — about $320 a year averaged out.
The Service Plan is $390. You'd be paying $70 a year for priority booking and free diagnostics you may never use. Stay on pay-as-you-go and put the difference toward the timing chain you'll eventually want.
