What we work on
Four German badges, done properly. If it wears a different one, we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right shop.
Diagnostics & Fault Codes
A check-engine light is a symptom, not a diagnosis.
We pull codes on the manufacturer's own software, then verify the fault physically before quoting a part. A code that says “lean bank 1” can be six different things, and five of them are cheaper than the one a code reader would sell you.
- ISTA — the BMW factory system
- ODIS — the Audi and VW factory system
- PIWIS — the Porsche factory system
- $145, waived if we do the work
Scheduled Maintenance
The interval your engine needs, not the one that sells services.
Oil and filter on the correct LL-01 or 504/507 spec — the manufacturer approval printed on the bottle, which matters more than the brand. Brake fluid every two years because it absorbs water whether you drive the car or not. Spark plugs and carbon cleaning when your engine has actually earned them.
- Oil service from $189
- Brake fluid flush every two years, $185
- Carbon intake cleaning (walnut blast), $695
- We will tell you when something can wait
Brakes & Suspension
Two quotes, side by side, and an honest read on the difference.
Pads, rotors, control arms, air suspension. We quote OEM and quality aftermarket next to each other and tell you where the difference matters and where it doesn't. On rotors it usually doesn't. On air struts it usually does.
- Front pads & rotors from $620
- Control arm sets from $980
- Four-wheel alignment on our own rack, $180
- Air suspension strut from $1,450
Engine & Drivetrain
The jobs most independents send back to the dealer.
Timing chains, VANOS and cam solenoids, turbo and charge-pipe work, clutch and DSG service. DSG is the dual-clutch automatic in most modern VW and Audi cars — it needs a fluid and filter service on a real interval, and plenty of shops never touch one.
- Timing chain service from $2,800
- Clutch replacement from $1,900
- DSG service $480 · ZF 8HP $520
- Turbo work quoted per car
Pre-Purchase Inspections
$225, two hours, and a written report with photos.
We put the car on a lift, scan every module, check the service history against what the car actually shows, and write it up. We've talked people out of more cars than we've cleared — which is the point.
- Full lift inspection and module scan
- Written report with photos, same day
- Flat $225, any of the four badges
- Book it before you agree on a price
